curvigironde_hindcast (2010-2018): spatial resolution from 100m in the estuary to 2km offshore in the Bay of Biscay, 10 equidistant sigma layers, dt=1h Atmospheric forcings : Météo-France Arome (1.3x1.3km², dt=1h) Waves at open boundary : WWIII-NORGASUG (Ardhuin, 2012) (5x5km², dt=1h) Open boudary conditions : MARS3D-MANGAE2500 (2.5x2.5km², dt=1h) Surges: MARS2D-MANGA (0.7x0.7km2, dt=1h) Directory architecture /hydro (NetCDF) variables for water parameters (level, current, salinity), waves (Hs, Dir), suspended sediment concentration SSC (1 mud, 3 sands, 1 gravel). /sedim (NetCDF) variables for bed properties (wave-induced, current-induced and total bottom stress, bottom orbital velocities, sediment thickness and composition) /demerliac (NetCDF) demerliac-averaged hydrodynamics variables /border (CSV) sediment budgets and fluxes along specific borders /station (NetCDF) water column variables at specific location within the estuary and at the mouth This numerical hindcast is based on the work of Diaz et al.
